Ver en Cuevana. Ponnumani and Chinthamani are childhood sweethearts. Chinthamani goes off to pursue education in the city, but they remain devoted to each other. They decide to marry once her exams are over. However, Ponnumani finds her in a mentally unbalanced state in the railway station when she returns.
